The Outdoor Bee Co. offers honey bee swarm removal service in Spokane, the Spokane Valley, Airway Heights, Cheney, Liberty Lake, Medical Lake, Veradale, and nearby areas.
What is a swarm? A swarm is a group of bees that are relocating from their old colony usually due to the lack of space. Local honey bees know every square-foot of the surrounding area, so when swarming, they know exactly where they will go to establish a new home!
How much does it cost to have a swarm removed? Swarm removal service is free, however, if the swarm has established residence inside a house wall where it is not easily accessed and requires other means of access, a fee will be charged for removing and remodelling. Please note, we are not responsible for any damage that may occur.
Why should you choose the Outdoor Bee Co. versus having the bees exterminated?
- In order to survive the long winter months, honey bees store nectar. With the bees removed, other pests will gladly ambush the left over hive scouting for nectar and leaving the combs destroyed with honey seeping out into your walls.
- Honey bees raise thousands of young bees. A healthy hive will contain anywhere around 50,000 bees. If left alone, the decaying brood will cause a strong unwanted stench. Yuck!
- After bees and honey are removed, the “bee scent” left behind will attract future swarming bees! The area must be sealed off completely for future visits not to occur.
- The bees that we take from you are put back into a hive and recolonized so they can continue to pollinate orchards and other wild plants or trees.
- If you still feel you want to have your residence sprayed for pests, call us first and we will come on site to see what we can remove. This will result in a better solution for both the bees and your home.
